Iodine painting vs. Drinking

Is painting iodine on the skin as effective as drinking it? I am referring to the Lugols 5% iodine solution.

Any info you could give would be greatly appreciated!

It has been my experience that because we are so low in iodine, I combined the two to counteract my goiter.

Any excess iodine in your system will be flushed out.
