Thyroid - Diabetes Connection

by Terry
(Fulton, Mo)

Can tincture of iodine help diabetes?

I have heard that tincture of iodine can regulate blood sugar and I have five people including my aunt who were all taking insulin shots and a couple of them taking pills also. Within three to four months blood sugar was normal.

How is this possible?

RESPONSE

According to the site, Thyroid Today, diabetes and thyroid disorder are intricately tied.

This is a dysfunction of the endocrine system. The endocrine system regulates the entire body's metabolism.

Iodine nourishes the thyroid and assists with reclaiming the balance within the endocrine system. When the balance is restored, the diabetic may reduce the insulin needed to maintain the glucose sugar levels.

Indeed, this is a delicate balancing act. Pretty amazing, wouldn't you say!
