Iodine and MSM

Hi,

Great website, very informative!

Just wondering if you know of any contraindications with taking iodine and MSM together at the same time or separately on the same day. I noticed my mom's eye area was red and swollen, which may or may not be related to taking iodine and MSM together.

I have read on some forums that they should not be taken together, but they do not indicate why?

Should iodine be avoided with any other foods or supplements?

I have no information about iodine and MSM being used together.

However, my thinking is to not take the two together simply because one may cancel out or dilute the other.

I am not aware of any contraindications of supplementing iodine with foods or other supplements.
