Will Lugols Iodine work on a growing keloid scar?

ANSWER

Lugol is 5% iodine and tincture of iodine may vary from 2% - 7%. I don’t see why it would not work on keloid scars. Just remember, it takes TIME and perseverance. Its not an overnight cure.

I have been applying tincture of iodine to a mole on my finger. I am slowly seeing a result but it has been over a month with multiple daily applications.

You will need to do the same since you have to saturate the skin way below the surface in order to stop the inbedded infection.

Be patient. It will work.
