To do the iodine skin test can i use Povidone iodine 10%? instead of buying the 2% tincture?

ANSWER

Povidone iodine is really a 10% SOLUTION with Citric Acid , Glycerin , Makon 8, Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide so it really doesn't give you a true test of iodine absorption when all these other ingredients are in the mix.

I would stick with the iodine tincture to get an accurate reading. You can find this product on this site's Store.
